I’m Lulu the Bouvier and I really enjoy special treats. Mom makes them all because although I like to eat everything – except lettuce - some things don’t agree with my tummy. So these recipes may not be great for all my friends but they are all made with natural ingredients, no corn, sugar or dairy – except yogurt. I will add new recipes each month – mom has lots!!

PUMPKIN PEANUT YUMS
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
¾ c. pumpkin puree
1¾ c. canola oil
¼ c. honey
2 c. quick oats oatmeal
½ c. peanuts unsalted or sunflower seeds
1 t. cinnamon
Blend first 4 ingredients with a hand mixer. Add the rest mixing well.
Spread into a 15 ½ X 10 ½ pan that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
Bake. Cool. Break into bite size pieces and store in air tight containers.
Bake at 400 for 10 to 15 minutes or until as crunchy as you want. Me, I like them very crunchy!
½ c. high-quality dog food kibble ground in a processor to measure the ½ c.
2 c. grated carrots pureed in the food processor
½ c. applesauce – (1 apple skinned, cored, and cooked with a small amount of water until soft)
½ c. plain low fat yogurt
2 c. oat or rice flour
1 t. baking powder
Extra shredded cheese to sprinkle on the top.
Add the applesauce and yogurt to the carrot puree in the processor and blend until smooth and light.
Put the puree into a medium bowl and add the flour, ground kibble, and baking powder.
Combine until smooth and knead with your hands. If it is too wet, add more flour.
Flour a breadboard and roll dough ¼ inch thick. Use a 3 inch bone cookie cutter. Sprinkle extra cheese on top.
Place on greased cookie sheet and bake. Turn off oven when browned and leave in oven for 10-15 minutes.
To make them crunchier you can leave them in the oven over night.
Enjoy! Lulu the Bouvier
